ActiveFence is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing Cyber Threat Team. In this role, you will conduct advanced research and analysis into online cyber threats and malicious activity targeting platforms, organizations, and communities. You will also engage directly with clients, presenting insights and recommendations to help them proactively mitigate risk.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in cyber threat intelligence with strong analytical skills and client communication abilities. This is a 6 month maternity leave replacement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on cyber threats, actors, and trends, including malware, phishing, credential theft, fraud, abuse of platforms, and other forms of malicious activity to understand threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Analyze diverse data sources (OSINT, dark web forums, closed communities, social media, etc.) to produce actionable intelligence. 
  • Evaluate the credibility and relevance of intelligence sources and identify actionable intelligence for our clients.
  • Continuously monitor the threat landscape and emerging TTPs (Tactics, Techniques & Procedures).
  • Produce clear, concise written reports, strategic briefings, and presentations to communicate threat intelligence findings, assessments, and recommendations to clients.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client-facing engagements
  • Present research findings, threat assessments, and mitigation recommendations to clients.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence (CTI)
  • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex cyber threat data into clear, actionable intelligence.
  • Strong knowledge of current cyber threat actors, tactics, and ecosystems (dark web, cybercrime communities, malware, etc.).
  • Experience in collecting intelligence from diverse sources (OSINT, dark web forums, closed communities, social media, etc.) and transforming raw intelligence into structured analytical reports.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to clients.
  • Prior experience in client-facing CTI roles.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment with shifting priorities.
