- GDIT is seeking a NOSC Analyst with an active Public Trust clearance to work for our client at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Cybersecurity Program Office (CSPO) in Atlanta, GA. At GDIT we deliver groundbreaking analytics and innovation solutions that provide an advantage contributing to the mission and operational success of our federal government agencies. The NOSC Analyst will perform a variety of command, control, coordination, communication, monitoring, and analysis roles.
The NOSC Analyst is responsible for identifying and responding to computer network security incidents, investigating and correlating Indicators of compromise (IOCs) associated with attacks against computers and computer networks, assessing and communicating the severity of security incidents, using network and network security tools. As well as monitoring enterprise networks to ensure availability to all users.
Shift/Schedule:
- You will work within a team to provide support to a 24x7x365 Operation, including Federal Holidays. Day Shift and Night Shift, based on need.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
- Conduct Incident Response activities in accordance with the CDC Enterprise-wide Computer Security Incident Response (IR) Plan, CDC Incident Response Guide and related policies and procedures
- Monitor their organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs.
- Recommend and/or implement mitigation actions in response.
- Prepare tickets that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
- Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends.
- Recommend security enhancements to management or senior IT staff.
- Coordinate with multiple vendors/departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.
- Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
- Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutions.
- Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software.
- Identifies, diagnoses and resolves problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Alerts more experienced engineers of network failures and assists in performing corrective actions.
- Monitors enterprise networks to ensure availability to all users.
- Coordinate with multiple vendors/departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.
- Investigates and resolves problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
- Evaluates, tests, recommends, and implements specific network solutions.
- Schedules and coordinates installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network and ensures compatibility of all communications and computer hardware/software.
- Identifies, diagnoses and resolves problems of limited scope and complexity.
- Alerts more experienced engineers of network failures and assists in performing corrective actions.
- Employs basic understanding of network administration as it relates to daily business operations.
- Knowledge and skills in one or more of, but not limited to, the following tools: ServiceNow, Crowdstrike, Splunk, O365 Fireeye.
- Certification: ITIL, Security+
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-6 years relevant experience
- One or more of the following certifications: SEC+, SSCP, CEH, CCNA
- Working knowledge of Cisco Routers, Cisco Switches, Cisco Firewall (FWSM, ASA), F5 Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, Probe Machines, Network Sniffer, Decode Sniffer Packets, Radius, TACACS+, QOS, VPN, Wireless, Cisco Prime.
- CDC experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must have experience working at the CDC and currently supporting the CDC Attack Surface Management program.
