Position Overview 

ATLAS SP is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the CISO’s cybersecurity team.

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves proactively identifying potential security risks, help develop and implement security measures and ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of security systems. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also respond to and analyze cyber incidents, providing actionable insights to prevent future attacks.  This role will also be responsible for working on cybersecurity projects.

Primary Responsibilities

•    Respond to and investigate security alerts and events, including threat detection, investigation, containment, and remediation. Participate in an on-call rotation for security.
•    Write and maintain detailed incident response reports, runbooks, and standard operating procedure documentation (SOPs).
•    Support the development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
•    Conduct vulnerability assessments covering asset classification, risk prioritization, remediation tracking, and exception handling.
•    Track and assist in the management of desktop and server patching.
•    Support the implementation of countermeasures and strategies to strengthen overall network security.
•    Help manage phishing tests, user cybersecurity training, and social engineering tests to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance.
•    Contribute to security projects aimed at strengthening the security posture of the organization.
•    Stay informed about the latest cyber threats, security trends, and technologies.
•    Monitor security and network alerts for security incidents and events.
•    Participate in DR, BCP and incident response tabletop tests.
•    Security projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
•    1-3 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity. 
•    Basic understanding of TCP/IP, network security, endpoint security, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
•    Scripting and automation are a plus.
•    Knowledge of security frameworks, protocols, and products.
•    Knowledge of cloud security a +.
•    Experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    Strong communication and teamwork abilities based on a ‘can-do’ approach.

Preferred Skills:
•    Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) a +.
•    Experience in Financial Services preferred.

 

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
