Commercial Cyber Solutions Director

Key Role

Manage and mature the Booz Allen Commercial cybersecurity capabilities and underlying offerings by serving in a cyber executive role, while supporting capture, delivery, and expansion on client engagements across different market verticals. Participate in and oversee proposal development, client delivery, project execution, financial management, and risk identification and mitigation. Provide senior leadership to capability and solutions leads and support delivery of client projects focused on cybersecurity offerings. Lead multiple large project workstreams, synthesize complex data, conduct correlation analysis, and develop high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment. Orchestrate strategic development, design, implementation, and operation of cutting-edge cybersecurity service offerings that include cyber fusion, cyber threat intelligence, threat defense and response, and threat hunting. Manage and coach teams of professional employees or supervisors, including budget and deadline responsibility in the areas managed.

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in leading technical project delivery with commercial or government clients to design and implement cybersecurity program strategies

• 5+ years of experience in developing cyber strategy by leveraging people, processes, and technology, including building highly technical delivery teams, and working with clients to identify obstacles and construct optimal solutions for specific challenges

• Experience with information security programs, regulations, and risk management frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, COBIT, NIST 800-30, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, and GDPR

• Experience in multiple cybersecurity capabilities and technologies, including Threat Defense and Response, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Security Detection Engineering, Cyber Fusion, Attack Surface Management, Threat Hunting, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Security Testing

• Ability to work with senior client partners and executive officers to foster positive client and vendor relationships, identify new business opportunities with existing clients, and develop mutually beneficial partnerships

• Ability to design and integrate security solutions to address enterprise risks and exposure

• Ability to be a self-starter, thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead and mentor others, work independently, and foster collaborative environments while leading multiple projects and fast-paced delivery teams across challenging commercial environments

• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

• Bachelor’s degree

• CISSP or CISM certification

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with multiple market verticals, including financial services, healthcare, energy, consumer products, high-technology, and pharmaceuticals

• Experience with coaching and mentoring junior staff on functional expertise

• Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets

• Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision making, planning, organizational, and client facilitation skills

• Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, including comprehension, conflict resolution, teamwork, and relationship building skills

• Possession of excellent client-ready oral and written communication skills

• Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $162,800.00 to $303,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
