SMX is looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Analyst to join our team in support of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. The Senior Analyst will work as part of our team to provide analytical troubleshooting, system configuration, and administrative support, and performing research and analysis, procedure and process development and management, testing, reporting and training.

This position will be hybrid with the onsite work location in Dahlgren, VA. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop system specifications and documentation, ensuring alignment with DoD standards
  • Use enterprise tools to support system design, integration, and lifecycle planning and ensuring DoDAF compliant architecture models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, and stakeholders to define and refine system capabilities, interfaces, and data flows
  • Perform application and system testing, validate functionality, and support troubleshooting efforts
  • Ensure quality and compliance with security and performance requirements in all developed architecture models
  • Support database design, query optimization, and ongoing data integrity checks, ensuring reliable system performance and reporting

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Clearance Required: Secret
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • 7+ years' experience in relation to implementation of business and technical requirements, analyzing, planning and development, application testing, and database management
  • Experience in DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and enterprise architecture tools such as IBM's System Architect
  • IAT III certification such as CISSP, CISM, GSLC, CASP or equivalent

The proposed salary for this position is:$96,400—$160,600 USD
