Role: Radio DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Kanata Ontario, Canada - Onsite
Hire Type: Full Time

 

About the job you’re considering
We are seeking a highly skilled Radio DevSecOps Engineer with a strong focus on product and production security to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in telecommunications security and will be responsible for developing and maintaining secure radio software solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, security knowledge, and software development skills to ensure the integrity and safety of our radio products.

 

Your role

  • Design, develop, and implement secure radio software solutions, with a strong emphasis on product and production security.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses on radio software systems.
  • Utilize scanning tools such as Black Duck and Truffle Hog to identify and mitigate potential security risks in the software.
  • Perform penetration testing using tools like Burp Suite to identify vulnerabilities and strengthen system defenses.
  • Manage and optimize build environments, including working with Makefiles, Gerrit, and Jenkins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and best practices in radio software development and implement appropriate countermeasures.

 

Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software development: C++/Python, with at least 3 years focused on security in the telecommunications industry.
  •  Expertise in using security scanning tools such as Black Duck and Truffle Hog.
  •  Experience with penetration testing tools, particularly Burp Suite.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and OWASP security principles.
  • Proven track record of developing secure radio software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) concepts and wireless communication systems.
  • Experience implementing security in product development and production environments.

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP.
  • Background in radio communications with exposure to various wireless technologies (e.g., 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi).

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is CAD 65,200- $138,940. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
