Control Risks is looking to appoint an experienced GSOC Manager (Physical Security) to lead a team of Operators and Senior Operators for a newly developed security operations centre in Bangalore. This role will be embedded into our information technology-sector client's global security team.

The GSOC Manager will functionally reports to the Client FTE Senior Director Physical Security as the operations cell lead and is the administrative point of contact for the team. They will develop operational protocols, plans, processes, and metrics for the efficient operation of the SOC. In a crisis, the role leads the SOC's crisis management process.

Role tasks and responsibilities:

  • Works with the Global Security SOC Head and various other teams to respond to regional risks that carry a significant risk to the enterprise.
  • Utilize established processes and strategies through risk assessments and threat management for comprehensive crisis management.
  • Directly leads the SOC in daily operations and the implementation of policies, directives, procedures and best practices of the SOC.
  • Determines staffing requirements and guides recruiting, hiring and retention of highly qualified employees to ensure the effective operation of the SOC.
  • Regularly communicates management updates from the SOC on incidents, emerging risks, and other issues that may impact the corporation's business operations, its employees and visitors.
  • Establishes, records and monitors performance metrics to determine the effectiveness of the SOC.
  • Collaborates and works with Client FTE Senior Director Physical Security on any other matters.
  • Govern the regular reports and metrics from GSOC.
  • Responsible for supplier & vendor management, including critical services and manpower agencies.
  • Have control over the physical security operations & emergency response in the region.
  • Coordinate & schedule training for global level completion.

Requirements

  • The GSOC Manager should have eight (8) or more years of applicable experience and a minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience.
  • Must possess planning, organizational, and motivational skills.
  • Able to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats.
  • Able to speak both extemporaneously and in both formal and informal settings.
  • Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation.
  • Have the ability to apply logical processes to solve complex problems.
  • Able to implement strategic plans with innovation and creativity in line with the intent of the team and organization.
  • System Knowledge - Trouble Shoot CCURE/GENTEC/LENEL (all)
  • Good knowledge of MS office, PowerBI, PowerAutomate etc. will be an advantage.
