About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer in Technology as part of the Chief Technology Office (CTO). Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com. The Lead Information Security Engineer will support the Certificate Authority and Validation Services team. This team supports all Wells Fargo certificate authorities and certificate validation services. 

In this role, you will:

  • Design, engineer, and develop complex automation solutions to simplify manually intensive tasks
  • Produce automation solutions that leverage Generative AI Technology
  • Interact with Engineering and Architecture peers to devise solutions that align with enterprise technology strategy
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Review and correlate security logs
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead a team to achieve objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience with PKI
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience developing automation with infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet etc..
  • 5+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools for automation such as Jenkins, Github, Terraform, Harness, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud platforms, Kubernetes container architecture and deployment services 
  • 3+ years of experience with PKI and other cryptographic technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies Kanban / Scrum and processing workflow using Jira tool.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple engineering projects
  • Cloud vendor certification such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Intermediate to advanced hands-on experience in scripting, orchestration, and automation languages such as PowerShell / DSC, Python and Ansible to deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Full stack development experience
  • Experience in building RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side applications
  • Database Knowledge: Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with DevOps practices
  • Strong experience with Git and version control workflows
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, PyTest, or others
  • Industry standard Cyber Security certification - i.e. CISSP, SANS certification, CISM etc.
  • Experience working with Gen AI and developing AI Models
  • Gen AI Tools and Frameworks - ex: Agentic AI, Lang Chain and embedding workflows
  • Ability to work independently and also lead engineering design and development complex AI solutions

Job expectations:

  • The role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfers
  • The position offers a hybrid in-office work schedule

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
