R_311315 Cyber Risk Consulting Leader

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Consulting team at Marsh Advisory. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Consulting Director (SVP) to lead the Cyber Consulting team at Marsh UK. You will further develop and grow the consulting proposition and connect it with our additional cyber capabilities such as, insurance placement, incident and crisis management, cyber analytics and financial stress testing to ensure our clients receive market leading risk management support. You will also work closely with our cyber teams in other international regions to support multi-national clients and to collaborate on new solutions.

We will count on you to:

  • An opportunity to continue to develop and deliver Marsh’s Cyber go to market strategy alongside other senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the cyber risk consulting proposition for Marsh UK.
  • Be the ‘go to’ expert on cyber security issues for all Marsh Colleagues.
  • Offer an insightful perspective on critical cyber risk issues relevant to a CRO’s/CISO’s perspective and agenda to support our Cyber Incident Management and Cyber Insurance Colleagues.
  • Provide cyber security expertise to our Analytics Colleagues to quantify cyber loss scenarios and conduct cyber financial stress testing.
  • Generate and deliver a sustainable pipeline of cyber consulting projects, working alongside our insurance broking teams to identify opportunities and structure projects.
  • Identify, design and stand up new offerings and capabilities through to effective sale
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level colleagues in the cyber risk consulting team.
  • A client facing role that will expose you to a vast array of industries and business models, from niche manufacturers to multi-national enterprises.
  • The ability to set strategic direction, lead a team and remain close to project delivery.

What you need to have: 

  • Technical cyber security expertise, you must be capable of identifying and solving issues relevant to CISOs across a range of businesses:
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST/ISO/CIS.
    • Deep knowledge of cyber security tools and technologies.
    • Experience either dealing with live cyber incidents or developing cyber incident response procedures.
  • Proven experience designing and leading delivery of complex projects at senior level, involving multi-disciplinary teams, ideally in a consulting environment
  • A desire to coach and develop the next generation of consultants
  • A collegiate and results-focused approach: we succeed as a team

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience in CISO role and/or consulting
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the intersection between cyber risk management and cyber insurance
  • Advanced cybersecurity qualifications such as CISSP/CISM.
  • Track record of thought leadership and/or recognised profile in cyber risk
  • Ability to leverage expertise beyond your own through effective collaboration to meet client needs, while ensuring quality of delivery
  • A combination of consulting and in-house roles that enable you to oversee and manage a team with authenticity
