Overview
We are searching for an experienced Edge Security Operations Manager to lead the implementation and management of physical security and compliance across our global edge infrastructure sites. In this critical role, you will ensure robust access control, coordinate vendor activities, manage incident responses, and ensure compliance with data center shipment protocols. Your work will be pivotal in safeguarding our edge infrastructure, supporting seamless operations, and enhancing our security posture.
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee physical security policies and incident response processes.
- Manage access controls, permissions, CCTV infrastructure, and audit logs.
- Track inbound/outbound shipments and hand-carry activity for compliance.
- Coordinate destruction of media and manage hardware security lifecycle activities including decommissioning, migration, and RMA.
- Support data center audits and coordinate vendor onsite scheduling.
- Serve as the point of contact for all vendor security and compliance inquiries.
- Collaborate across teams to support cross-functional security operations.
- Maintain JIRA tracking and support operational reporting and improvement initiatives.
- Lead vendor quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and oversee ERAD and logistics activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- 2+ years of experience in a security, CDN, data center, or telecommunications environment.
- Knowledge of data center physical security protocols and best practices.
- Experience managing access control, incident escalation, and vendor coordination.
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple concurrent tasks.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools, especially JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced infrastructure environment.
- Familiarity with decommissioning, shipment, and logistics security workflows.
- Process improvement or policy development experience.
- Experience in audit coordination and ensuring vendor access compliance.
