What you`ll do

We are looking for a Product Owner (f/m/d) with solid knowledge and experience in application security, open-source software, CI/CD and a passion for service excellence. You will be a part of the high-performing, motivated, and incredibly supportive Sentinel team, co-located in Walldorf.

 

You will work on...

  • building SAP´s future solutions for secure and compliant usage of OSS in collaboration with leading CI/CD and security experts from central teams and LoBs
  • delivery of best quality services to Hyperspace users
  • design, implementation and continuous improvements of OSS related processes and services, resolution of complex design problems in the area
  • user and vendor management

 

The Role:

As Product Owner (f/m/d) for Hyperspace Open Source Compliance Service you will...

  • drive the development of SAP’s newest and best OSS compliance solution: OSC
  • be the voice of the customer in the team, representing the needs of the end users and business
  • manage the team backlog by gathering input from system engineers, architects, and other stakeholders
  • work on increasing the quality of the services and velocity of the team

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience as a product owner or similar role
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Secure Development and Operation Lifecycle (SDOL)
  • Customer focused, ideally with experience in responding to complex customer queries
  • Excellent understanding of CI/CD, systems architecture, technical design, data structures, and algorithms
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, NodeJS, Python, Go)
  • Agile mindset and experience working with agile development processes (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
  • Very good written and spoken communication skills
  • Self-motivated, curious, open minded, resourceful, team-player with the ability to learn quickly
  • Experience working with OSS/SAST/DAST tools is a plus
  • CISA, CCSP, CISM or CISSP certifications are a plus
