About the Role
Sygnia is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing sales team, supporting the expansion of Sygnia’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offering. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert on the Sygnia MDR services and lead all technical aspects of the sales process.
The ideal candidate brings a solid technical background in cybersecurity, combined with experience in client-facing roles such as pre-sales engineering, technical account management, customer success, or support. This role will partner with the Client Leaders, MDR Account Executives, Product, R&D, and Operations teams to support client engagements and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients.
- Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements, including the development of proposals, solution designs, and supporting documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the Sygnia MDR offering and related cybersecurity services.
- Assess client environments, threat landscapes, and detection and response requirements to determine the appropriate scope of engagement.
- Partner with internal teams (Product, R&D, and Operations) to relay client feedback and influence solution development.
- Continuously support and refine Sygnia’s technical messaging, collateral, and written materials.
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with prospective clients.
- Develop and implement tools, frameworks, and resources to maximize win rates in competitive opportunities.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a global, client-facing role within the cybersecurity industry (e.g., pre-sales, technical consulting, or customer success).
- 7+ years of experience working with cybersecurity products and/or services.
- Deep familiarity with the cybersecurity landscape, including major vendors, common technologies, and industry challenges.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-relevant insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Broad understanding of organizational security stacks, including Firewall, EDR, SIEM, IDS/IPS, email security solutions, basic cloud security solutions, and general application and network security concepts.
- Familiarity with development frameworks and their relevance to security.
- General knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hosting environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust across internal teams and external clients.
- High cultural intelligence and the ability to work effectively across regions and business cultures.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CISA, CIMA, OSCP, CEH, CISSP) are a strong advantage.
