The Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a full-time on a 9-month basis, non-tenure track, Instructor of Cybersecurity faculty position in Computer Science, with a start date in Spring 2026. This position focuses exclusively on teaching and educational excellence, with no research expectations. Priority will be given to candidates with teaching expertise or interest in AI in cybersecurity, though strong candidates from other cybersecurity areas are welcome to apply.
The department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Computer Science, as well as BS and MS degrees in Geospatial Sciences. The Department of Computer Science prepares students to pursue productive careers and advanced degrees in computer science or geospatial information science. The department faculty direct various research labs including MANTIS Lab, iCORE Lab, AioE Lab, Pegasus Lab for High Performance Systems, Software and System Security Lab, and Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Lab (CRIL), and have research collaborations with the Conrad Blucher Institute for Surveying and Science, Harte Research Institute, and Autonomy Research Institute. The department has 23 full-time faculty with more than 300 BS, 300 MS, and 30 doctoral students.

Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate cybersecurity courses in various modalities including in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
Develop and deliver hands-on, engaging, and pedagogically innovative cybersecurity curriculum.
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and student workforce readiness.
Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities focused on education and student success.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated successful teaching experience in cybersecurity or related computer science courses at the undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching a multifaceted portfolio of cybersecurity related courses.
- Experience with active learning and student-centered instructional methods in cybersecurity education.
- Experience in working with students to prepare them for careers in cybersecurity by involvement in student club activities or training students for competitions.
- Evidence of teaching excellence.
- Familiarity with curriculum assessment and National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) program is a plus.
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
