Job Description
As a key member of the Applied Cryptography team, the Associate Cybersecurity Engineer will focus on supporting the designing, implementing, and managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions to enhance our organization's data security posture. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed enrollment and integration documentation specific to various Visa applications, ensuring seamless integration into our PKI-enabled solutions, and Supporting Daily PKI activities and Sr staff and engineers with operational tasks.
Essential Functions:
Be part of a global Applied Cryptograhpy team supporting PKI infrastructure, operations and critical services.
Provide Level 1 Support supporting the design and implementation of complex encryption requirements.
develop skills and knowledge to be recognized as a subject matter expert and contributor to PKI and encryption technologies.
Support the design, propose and review new encryption solutions & implementation, and provide functional and technical support for program, project and core needs.
Evaluates current global and technology specific processes to determine process improvements, and how best to gain more effectiveness and efficiency.
Support the review, update and creation of encryption policies, procedures and technical security requirements in collaboration with the Security Architecture teams.
Takes a supporting role with coordinating internal / external industry audits in collaboration with Visa internal teams.
Takes a supporting role in Reporting & implementing changes needed for industry compliance.
Takes a supporting role in Reporting to management industry trends and recommendations.
Takes a supporting role in maintaining and supporting of multiple PKI implementations and technologies.
Participate in projects to deploy new PKI applications and services.
Support oncall and after hours certificate requirements.
Ability to support and work non-traditional work hours, not limited to weekends, and evenings.
Support Applied Cryptography team in providing Asymmetric and symmetric encryption subject matter expertise.
Assist with design and implement robust PKI solutions tailored to meet the organization's security requirements.
Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for PKI enrollment, management and integration processes for Visa applications, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure PKI solutions are effectively integrated and maintained.
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to PKI and data security, and proactively propose enhancements to existing solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve PKI-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Participate in security assessments and audits to validate the effectiveness of PKI implementations and identify areas for improvement.
Support Applied Cryptography Operational task, that include health checks, patching and key ceremonies.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
•2 or more years of work experience
•Basic Coding skills.
•Knowledge of Industry certificate requirements.
•Strong experience with Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and NIST Special Publications.
•Solid experience with Cybersecurity strategies and frameworks to protect data assets.
•Seasoned Engineer on Key Management and Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
•Knowledge on application design and development.
•Experience with Secure Development Lifecycle methodologies, Agile based methodologies.
•Strong understanding of Cryptographic technologies, including APIs and Tools.
•Understanding on the Cloud PKI and Key Management implementations on AWS, Azure and GCP.
•Understanding and experience with the cryptography algorithms, and public key infrastructure (PKI).
•Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills along with the ability to present complex security subjects to internal work groups and projects.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 89,900.00 to 127,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
