Job Description:

Department Overview

The Protect Platform consists of teams across North America, whose mandate is to protect TD customers, colleagues and shareholders from cyber and financial crimes and fraud. Collectively our businesses lead TD’s enterprise-wide fraud, cyber threat, and technology risk strategies, advance analytics capabilities, and drive operational efficiency to improve governance, oversight and collaboration between fraud management and other functions within the Bank.

Endpoint Protect is part of the broader Security Engineering team of the Protect Platform with the mandate to plan, evaluate, recommend, design, operationalize, and support security solutions. These solutions focus on protecting endpoints, which consist of servers and workstations, in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.

Here's some of what you will be asked to perform:

  • Apply your experience and expertise to ensure all TD areas that interact with Endpoint Threat Protection technologies (eg: EDR, AV, FIM, etc) are implemented correctly and have the necessary capabilities, processes and documentation to operate effectively.
  • Assist with knowledge management via JIRA / Confluence / Sharepoint and identify and execute on any automation opportunities within the team
  • Support other internal teams leveraging Endpoint Threat Protection tools for their deliverables (eg: Cyber Security Incident Response teams, Governance teams, etc)
  • Execute on TD Technology's Security Engineering strategy as it relates to the introduction of tools and the automation of build, test, release and configure across application, platform and infrastructure.
  • Partner with Operations to automatically integrate with appropriate tools and processes efficiency improvements via automation (scripting or through the use of software development techniques)
  • Apply an in-depth understanding of relevant business needs and work with technology partners to identify and leverage synergies across the various areas.
  • Draw on best practices and your knowledge of internal and external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with the work you do, which may include contributions to negotiations of third-party contracts/agreements
  • Collaborate with governance and control groups (e.g. regulatory and operational risk, compliance and audit) to provide your subject matter expertise and consult on risk issues related to Engineering technology and tools.
  • Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with implementing and supporting endpoint security tools, particularly EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), FIM (File integrity monitoring), ASG (Application safeguarding) and similar
    • Examples of such tools include (but not limited to): Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, Symantec Datacentre Security, Other AV / EDR tools
  • Demonstrated operational proficiency and experience with OS administration and automation of tasks in Windows and Linux environments through scripts (Python, Powershell, bash, etc) and administrative platforms such as confluence / JIRA
  • Experience and knowledge on how to secure systems and networks
  • Knowledge and experience with software development
  • Proficient in troubleshooting application issues
  • Customer Service in an IT context which includes communications both to technical and non-technical teams and individuals
  • A strong desire to work and learn independently and be able to contribute in a team environment
  • Good to have:
    • Familiarity with operating or developing in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Compute Platform
    • Technology and Infrastructure (such as): Azure / Azure AD / Active Directory / Networks
