What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s CSO (Chief Security Officer) Team. We are on a dynamic transformational journey with clear purpose set out by the CIBC enterprise and Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation (TI&I). Our goal is to further establish ourselves as a skillful, responsive and innovative partner to our TI&I peers and our partners in the broader CIBC enterprise. The Senior Director of Audit and Regulatory Management reports to the VP, Governance, Risk, Controls, and Effectiveness (GRC) and will help ensure TI&I has the right processes and tools needed to identify and manage risk, and that governance is in place to oversee control maturity and effectiveness. The focus of the role is to develop and continually improve processes for how TI&I interacts with Internal Audit, External Audit, and Regulators. Additionally, the role leads the Omega forum that oversees regulatory risk in TI&I globally related to Technology, Data, Cyber and Third-Party Risk. The role will interface with groups in TI&I at a senior level, maintaining an awareness of business process and controls and how these align to requirements of regulations, policies, and standards. The role is also accountable for providing insights on risk and control information that are included in senior management and board level reporting. The Senior Director is expected to pursue continuous improvements to the function and guide our overall approach to managing risk for our partners and with our stakeholders.

How You’ll Succeed
- Relationship Building - A key attribute will be your ability to effectively interact and build relationships internally and externally to CIBC. You will be a point of contact for GRC working collaboratively TI&I and Risk Management groups with a focus of ensuring a comprehensive control strategy. This requires strong relationship management skills to be successful

Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 10-15 years of experience with Management Control Environments, Auditors, Corporate Policies and Standards, Regulatory and Compliance Activities, SOX, Operational Reporting in regulated Financial/Banking sector. It's an asset if you have exposure to and have general understanding of Technology and Business controls, in areas such as Technology Infrastructure, Application Delivery, Security, Business Operations, and Contact Centers.

**Prior to starting in this role, security checks, including a criminal record check must be successfully completed to the satisfaction of CIBC. An annual criminal record check may also be required.
