Job Description
This role is responsible for managing the human risks associated with information and cyber security, with a mission to embed a culture of security consciousness across the organisation. The Senior Specialist IM Security Human Factors raises awareness of cyber threats across our workforce, to enable our people to make good information and cyber security judgements and decisions, and to promote the key behaviours that our people should exhibit to protect them and the organisation from cyber threats.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Develop and implement cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
- Conduct research on human behavior and its impact on cybersecurity.
- Design and execute phishing simulations and other social engineering assessments.
- Analyze the results of human factors assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other cybersecurity teams and business function teams to integrate human factors considerations into business (HR, Comms) and security strategies.
- Build and Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
- Build a Human Factors Champions Program to promote cybersecurity awareness and cyber hygiene across the business.
- Creates and manages a metrics framework that effectively measures employee behavior and compliance with cybersecurity policies, and tracks the overall effectiveness of the cybersecurity awareness program
Qualifications
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree/Diploma or equivalent) in psychology, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification in psychology, cybersecurity, or a related field OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
Certifications
- Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence
- Security Certification (e.g.ISC2 CISSP, CEH, CISM, CHFI)
- Registration with professional bodies (Desirable)
Experience
- 5 – 7 years working experience in a similar role
- Demonstrable experience in technical training, communications, adult education, or marketing
- Excellent communication, training, and analytical skills.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of social engineering techniques and mitigation strategies.
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood and actionable manner
- An ability to effectively influence and convince others to make appropriate changes in their priorities and behaviors for the benefit of the organization
- An ability to coordinate activities on behalf of Cyber Security with HR, Risk Management, and Compliance functions
- An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
- Experience with security awareness training tools and platforms. This may include experience with learning management systems (LMSs), authoring tools, and other training delivery platforms.
- Experience with project management and delivery. This includes the ability to develop and implement training plans, track progress, and measure results.
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK Framework & MITRE D3FEND Matrix
- Experience with adult learning principles. This includes the ability to design and deliver training that is relevant and effective for adult learners.
- Experience with marketing and/or business communication. This includes internal HR communication to employees, external marketing or other roles involving mass communication in a business or professional setting
