JOB OVERVIEW
MartinFed has an opening for a highly skilled Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst to join our dedicated team in Huntsville. In this hands-on, mid-level role, you'll be responsible for proactively monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats targeting enterprise systems and infrastructure. Your work will help detect, mitigate, and prevent potential breaches through advanced threat intelligence and real-time defense operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitor enterprise networks using Splunk Enterprise Security to identify emerging threats and anomalous behavior
- Investigate cyber incidents and security breaches, assessing damage and developing remediation strategies
- Support penetration testing and identify vulnerabilities within systems and applications
- Implement, maintain, and enhance cyber defense capabilities including firewalls and encryption protocols
- Recommend and document IT security best practices and improvements
- Perform forensic analysis of compromised systems, including file recovery, decryption, and malware analysis
- Create forensically sound file duplicates and perform dynamic analysis (timeline, statistical, and signature-based)
- Work with Incident Response Teams (IRTs) to support cyber defense operations in real time
QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. Citizen with a DoD Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant cybersecurity experience
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Splunk Enterprise Security (required)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel
- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification
- Familiarity with threat intelligence tools and techniques
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

- Fast-paced, secure operations center
- Working on a computer for long periods of time.
- May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
- The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
