Security Engineer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience to join our team in Madrid. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security, particularly with AWS and Azure environments, and a solid understanding of networking, automation, and security best practices.

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructures, ensuring compliance, and proactively managing vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Web Application Firewalls (WAF) on AWS and Azure to protect cloud workloads.
• Implement and manage Certificate Authorities (CA) for secure communications and authentication.
• Use Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployments and automation in AWS and Azure environments.
• Architect, configure, and troubleshoot AWS and Azure networking, including subnets, routing, security groups, and firewalls.
• Manage and maintain AWS VPN and AWS Systems Manager (SSM) for secure connectivity and remote management.
• Administer and secure Linux-based systems within cloud environments.
• Implement and monitor Azure Firewall for advanced threat protection.
• Integrate and apply Datadog for cloud monitoring, alerting, and security analytics.
• Conduct vulnerability management for AWS and Azure, including scanning, remediation, and reporting.

Requirements

Core Technologies:

• WAF: AWS WAF, Azure WAF
• Certificates: Certificate Authority (CA) management
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

Essential Knowledge:

• Cloud Networking: Advanced AWS & Azure networking
• AWS Services: VPN, SSM
• Operating Systems: Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills
• Azure Firewall configuration and management
• Datadog monitoring and integration
• AWS & Azure vulnerability management tools and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud security engineering roles
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Terraform Associate) are a plus
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage
