Overview

About the Role

Responsible enhancing the security posture of our server‐side infrastructure. This position will focus on ensuring the integrity, compliance, and security of critical hospital systems, including Active Directory, server‐based applications, and virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do   

  • Implements, maintain, and continuous improvement security measures for server systems, with a primary focus on Active directory, client‐server applications, and virtualized environments.
  • Perform regular security patching, system hardening, and vulnerability management, including vulnerability scanning, remediation, and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Security team to assess risks, address vulnerabilities, and maintain compliance with security standard (e.g., STIGs, CIS benchmarks).
  • Coordinate and communicate with Microsoft for Azure Cloud and Microsoft 365 Environment with the purview of enforcing & coordinate security with VMware and other permissions related structures.
  • Configure and manage Microsoft Group Policies, Microsoft Intune, and other technologies to enforce and standardize across the network.
  • Participates in the Change Management Board (CAB) to provide insight of limitations or concerns about a change.
  • Collaborate with other Infrastructure members (Sr. Network Security Engineer), IST Operations teams, and to enforce security policies, document security baselines, and audit responses.
  • Documents and reports on a variety of issues to be presented to Senior leadership on security related metric and reports, including but not limited to the CISO and the VP, Enterprise Infrastructure.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Math or Electrical Engineering, or another related field. Three (3) years of related work experience in Information Technology and experience with Windows servers and operating systems. Knowledge of scripting to automate tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Group Policy creation.
  • Strong working experience with hardware, server OS, Active Directory, Group Policies, etc.
  • Hands‐on technical knowledge of server and PC operating systems, including Active Directory, Windows Servers, Linux systems.
  • Knowledge virtual environments undertakings.
  • Understanding of NIST and ISO 27001 Security levels.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the public.
  • Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.

Preferred:

  • Certification in MCP, MOS, MTA, MCSE or MCSA preferred.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is PS/31S- $ 92,753.00- $ 112,186.00- $ 133,903.00 in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
