Job Summary
The PKI Connect User Experience (UX) Lead will support the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure (AF PKI) Program by managing the workloads, schedules, and personnel on the Connect UX team. The team is comprised of Liaison Officers (LNOs) and Strategic Outreach Managers. This role involves analyzing stakeholder needs related to liaison efforts and outreach events, working with a team to optimize processes for outreach, and identifying organizations and missions that could benefit from the liaison program. This position requires a creative, organized professional with strong communication skills and excellent people management skills.
Job Duties
- Team Management: Delegate tasks to appropriate team members, provide timely updates in requirements and priorities, ensure efforts align with AF PKI strategic goals.
- Leadership Collaboration: Provide available team resource estimates to leadership, recommend actions regarding personnel performance and behavior, and update leadership on status and issues related to efforts.
- Stakeholder Outreach: Assist with developing targeted outreach support to key DAF PKI stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement and communication.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration among DAF departments, teams, organizations, and partners across Commands, Components, Systems, and Agencies (C/C/S/A).
- Audience Analysis: Analyze target audiences for PKI communications, identifying their information needs and preferred communication channels.
- Event Recommendations: Recommend relevant industry events and conferences to the Government to promote the DAF PKI program, participating as required.
- Impact Assessment: Develop and implement methods to measure outreach effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize impact.
- Liaison Support: Validate that LNOs have organizational mission understanding for the organization they support and the AF PKI SPO. Validate two-way flow of support between organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Communications Experience: Proven experience in developing and executing strategic outreach or communication plans for technical or cybersecurity programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to analyze needs and develop liaison or outreach recommendations to address the needs.
- Personnel Management: Ability to assign tasks, manage schedules, resolve conflicts, and provide mentorship and guidance.
- Security Clearance: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance, with all employees cleared to at least Secret by the contract start date of June 1, 2025.
- Location: Ability to reside in the San Antonio, TX area and work on-site at the Government-leased facility as needed for collaboration and outreach support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- PKI Knowledge: Familiarity with PKI systems and their relevance to cybersecurity, enhancing the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- DAF Experience: Prior experience working with DAF or DoD stakeholders, providing insight into their communication preferences and needs.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in communications, marketing, or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).
- Event Management: Extensive background in managing booths or exhibits at industry conferences, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Project Management: Familiarity with setting measurable goals, timelines, and monitoring progress (e.g., PMP certification).
