Job Summary
The PKI Outreach Manager will support the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure (AF PKI) Program by developing and executing targeted outreach initiatives to engage key stakeholders within the Department of the Air Force (DAF). This role involves analyzing stakeholder needs, crafting strategic communication plans, creating educational materials, and managing participation in industry events and conferences. The coordinator will also oversee AF PKI booth operations, measure outreach effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to enhance program visibility and impact. This position requires a creative, organized professional with strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement within a technical or cybersecurity context.
Job Duties
- Stakeholder Outreach: Provide targeted outreach support to key DAF PKI stakeholders, ensuring effective engagement and communication.
- Audience Analysis: Analyze target audiences for PKI communications, identifying their information needs and preferred communication channels.
- Strategic Communications Plan: Develop a comprehensive strategic communications plan that outlines key stakeholder groups, their needs, and the most effective channels for reaching them.
- Effectiveness Metrics: Create a plan to measure the effectiveness of PKI communications, incorporating metrics to track reach, impact, and engagement.
- Educational Materials: Design and disseminate PKI education and awareness materials (e.g., brochures, videos, online resources) tailored to targeted stakeholder groups.
- Event Recommendations: Recommend relevant industry events and conferences to the Government to promote the DAF PKI program, participating as required.
- Booth Management: Support AF PKI booth operations at approved events, including coordinating with event planners, managing logistics (transport, setup, operation), staffing the booth, preparing handouts and promotional items, maintaining equipment, and procuring necessary items via Other Direct Costs (ODC), with after-action reports delivered within 5 days post-event detailing synopsis, benefits, and ROI.
- Impact Assessment: Develop and implement methods to measure outreach effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize impact.
Required Qualifications
- Communications Experience: Proven experience in developing and executing strategic outreach or communication plans for technical or cybersecurity programs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to analyze audience needs and tailor communication strategies to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Content Creation: Proficiency in creating educational and promotional materials (e.g., brochures, videos, online resources) for technical audiences.
- Event Coordination: Experience managing event logistics, including booth operations, scheduling, and procurement, with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to develop and apply metrics to assess communication and outreach effectiveness.
- Security Clearance: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance, with all employees cleared to at least Secret by the contract start date of June 1, 2025.
- Location: Ability to reside in the San Antonio, TX area and work on-site at the Government-leased facility as needed to access outreach materials and support event logistics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- PKI Knowledge: Familiarity with PKI systems and their relevance to cybersecurity, enhancing the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- DAF Experience: Prior experience working with DAF or DoD stakeholders, providing insight into their communication preferences and needs.
- Social Media Marketing: Prior experience utilizing social media outlets for targeting messages to specific audiences, especially related to use of social media for DAF or DoD.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in communications, marketing, or cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).
- Event Management: Extensive background in managing booths or exhibits at industry conferences, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Project Management: Familiarity with setting measurable goals, timelines, and monitoring progress (e.g., PMP certification).
- Writing and Reporting: Exceptional skills in drafting after-action reports and strategic plans, with a focus on clarity, detail, and actionable recommendations.
