Job Summary
The PKI Project Execution (PE) Lead will support the Air Force Public Key Infrastructure (AF PKI) Program by managing a team of highly skilled project management professionals. The Project Execution Lead will provide program guidance, personnel management, and leadership engagement to the AF PKI program. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills and time management, the ability to delegate effectively, and excellent people management skills.
Job Duties
- Program Management: Validate the development of product roadmaps and project backlogs, review allocations of resources, consolidate program timelines, ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Assign Efforts: Designate project managers to projects based on workload, availability, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Project Management: Validate the documentation of project goals, scope, deliverables, success criteria, stakeholders, resources, roles and responsibilities, and rules of engagement in a project charter.
- Requirements: Collaborate with Government stakeholders and engineering team to develop and update requirements documents.
- Process Improvement: Identify processes that can become more efficient and provide recommendations for how to modify them.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with relevant DAF and Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders to ensure maintenance activities align with organizational priorities and cybersecurity requirements.
- Technology Evaluation Support: Allocate program/project management resource to support the evaluation of emerging commercial and government technologies for interoperability and feasibility with DoD/AF PKI, as directed by the Government.
Required Qualifications
- Project Management: Familiarity with setting measurable goals, timelines, and monitoring progress.
- Communication: Experience communicating requirements and expectations to teams. Ability to present information in a way that is understandable to a variety of technical levels.
- PKI Life Cycle Management: Experience managing the life cycle of PKI systems, including logistics, deployment, sustainment, and disposal, preferably within a DoD or DAF environment.
- Planning and Documentation: Ability to develop, update, and maintain detailed implementation and sustainment plans, including audit processes and requirement forecasts.
- Security Clearance: Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance, with all employees cleared to at least Secret by the contract start date of June 1, 2025.
- Location: Ability to reside in San Antonio, TX, and work on-site at the Government-leased facility as needed.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/Secure Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
- Certification: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or DoD 8570/8140-approved Information Assurance certifications (e.g., IAT Level II or higher).
- Logistics Management: Background in managing tech refresh cycles, fielding plans, and long-term resource planning (e.g., POM processes).
- Customer Service: Strong skills in addressing technical issues remotely and coordinating with Government stakeholders for approvals and updates.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to forecast requirements over a five-year period and refine budget inputs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
