Security Engineer

Full-time

We’re on the lookout for an ambitious security engineer to join our team at our office in Stockholm.

About Atlar

Atlar helps modern finance teams manage money. Customers like Acne Studios, GetYourGuide, Forto, and HomeToGo use Atlar to unify financial data, analyze cash flows, and manage payments in real time – all in one platform

Finance tooling is overdue for an upgrade, but uprooting legacy technology requires a new approach. We're changing the way businesses manage money – and helping finance teams do the heavy lifting that keeps our companies and economies running.

Atlar is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and backed by Index Ventures, investors in category defining companies such as Adyen, Revolut, Figma, and more.

Joining us, you will
  • Advance Atlar’s security program. Shape the long-term vision, roadmap, and best-practice playbooks that keep security woven into every layer of our product and culture.

  • Secure our cloud-native stack end-to-end. Continue to harden AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and backend services (mainly Go) by designing and enforcing robust controls, guardrails, and monitoring.

  • Drive vulnerability management and incident response. Own threat modelling, coordinate penetration testing, triage vulnerabilities, and lead rapid, well-drilled responses when something goes bump in the night.

  • Automate security into our developer workflow. Build internal tooling and GitHub Actions checks that make “secure by default” the easiest path for every engineer—without slowing product velocity.

  • Guard our certifications and compliance posture. Maintain and continuously improve our existing SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications: gather audit evidence, refine policies, and close gaps before they appear.

  • Embed security culture company-wide. Run training, code reviews, and architecture sessions so every team—from product to operations—understands and owns their part of the security story.

Who you are
  • Driven. You're not just here to write code - you're here to win and make a significant impact.

  • Passionate. You're insatiably curious and forever asking "why?" Your keen interest in payments and fintech drives your desire to learn more each day.

  • Autonomous. You take ownership of projects and see them through to completion. You're self-directed, proactive, and able to handle uncertainties. You learn as you go.

  • Perfectionist. You understand that the devil is in the details. Your appreciation for the technical aspects of our field ensures you aim for excellence and precision.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Computer Science related field.

  • Fluency in English.

  • It is not a requirement to have prior knowledge about finance & banks, but the wish, and ability, to learn is!

Come and join us in our mission.
