Cybersecurity Lead

The National Security Sector at Leidos is currently looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Lead. This position is responsible for implementing Cybersecurity throughout the program lifecycle.  The Cybersecurity Lead will function as the program’s primary position for initiating and defining the Cybersecurity solutions to be implemented on the OneSAF program during its lifecycle, including both the development environment and delivered software baselines. The lead position will interface and act as the authoritative voice advising both Government and contractors teams of the required Cybersecurity features to be implemented to support the defined cybersecurity posture of the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will accomplish the following:

• Support the developmental program and delivery cycles on a day to day basis supporting all discussions of cybersecurity issues including POAMs, scans and ATO approvals.
• Oversee and execute the RMF process to ensure compliance with DODI 8510.01.
• Execute the necessary controls to sustain a Moderate/Moderate/Low posture.
• Provide reports and inputs to all program documentation and management reviews.
• Schedule and coordinate with both contractor and government staff all reviews and assessments necessary to attain the needed approvals.
• Support Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) by executing a security patch process for all maintained baselines, making these quarterly patches available to the OneSAF Community.
• Report all IAVAs, IAVBs, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) within a Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) at least monthly.
• Outline which controls were implemented, those not implemented and why they were not, and how mitigated if mitigation required.
• Security assessments of OneSAF capabilities for vulnerabilities and weaknesses prior to each release and implement protective measures

Basic Qualifications:

A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Communications or Related field with at least 8+ years of experience in technical IT related work.
• 8+years of experience as an IT manager with direct involvement in supporting systems in the field and managing staff of comparable size to this effort.
• Direct experience with DoD Cybersecurity implementation, including demonstrated success in mitigating vulnerabilities, maintaining an adequate CCRI score, STIG patching and POAM assessments.
• Demonstrated experience in performing primary roles for attaining an ATO.
• US Citizen with at least a current active Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain multiple active IT certifications including CompTIA Security + CE or CISSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications will be considered a benefit for this position including:

• Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Active Top Secret or greater clearance
• Experience with DoD Civil Service demonstrating understanding of the Government view of Cybersecurity.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
