This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Brandon, FL (Tampa Bay area).
Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Brandon, FL. The Security Analyst will be responsible for assisting in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to cyber security threats against Holland & Knight.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assists with monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events from a wide range of devices within the environment.
Ability to understand, prioritize and complete tasks by working independently or with a team.
Performs general operations maintenance support on security tools and agents.
Ability to process and correlate highly technical information from multiple sources in support of investigations.
Stays up to date with trends and current countermeasures for cyber security vulnerabilities, exploits, and other malicious activity.
Provides periodic “on-call” support of security operations during non-business hours.
Assists with the scanning of systems for known vulnerabilities and provide support in the remediation of any vulnerabilities found.
Analyzes and responds to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities.
Identifies areas of risk to the Firm and assists with efforts to mitigate those risks to an acceptable level.
Maintains knowledge of vendor products, services and security technologies and recommends/implements their use.
Approaches all problems, projects, and incidents with a high level of professionalism, objectivity and an open mind to new ideas and solutions.
Special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of four years’ experience in a technical support role or job-related experience, supporting security related technology in a diverse technology environment.
Experience with a System Information and Event Management (SIEM) or other scalable log management solution, including the configuration and tuning of the system.
Experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid 7, etc.)
Experience in monitoring and administrating various technical security controls such as firewalls, web filters and anti-virus solutions.
Required Computer Skills:
Operating Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, Windows 10/11
Network Technologies: Cisco LAN/WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP
Security Infrastructure Applications: Endpoint Detection and Response tools, automated systems management, vulnerability management tools, password management tools, email server security.
Software: office productivity software, popular browsers, security related software analysis and protection, other business applications (accounting, practice management, CRM, etc.)
Minimum Education:
Two-year technical degree, equivalent work experience, Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Current SANS and/or other security certifications preferred.
