JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary
Coordinate the daily activities of security personnel; responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the physical security program.
 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily activities of security personnel who provide physical security for all employees, guests and company property

• Develop and continually improve the physical security program

• Develop and regularly review security incident response procedures

• Respond to emergency situations such as threats of violence, bomb threats, fire alarms, medical emergencies or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures

• Must be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures and internal control protocols

• Review and maintain incident reports

• Assist with security locally and remotely when needed

• Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in law enforcement preferred and/or five years of experience in law enforcement or physical security:

Work Experience

• Experience interacting, directing, advising and communicating effectively

• Security, military or law enforcement related experience preferred

• Previous supervisory experience; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of: security operations and procedures

• Ability to: identify critical issues quickly, accurately and resolve in a timely manner

• Ability to: react well under pressure

• Ability to: maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances

• Ability to: think and act independently, possess strong reasoning and problem-solving skills and make sound and timely decisions

• Ability to: write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

• Ability to: communicate and/or exchange information or instructions

Licenses and Certifications

• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification required
