Azure Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture—you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and develop secure systems for defense clients? We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer who can create solutions for our defense clients that will withstand even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll assist our client in the secure design, implementation, and validation of Product Lifecycle Management Solution in Microsoft Azure. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems supporting federal and regulated workloads, with a focus on achieving and maintaining FedRAMP High authorization. You’ll coordinate work with teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your client’s IT needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solutions, so you’ll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You’ll lead the team through a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions, to maintain a balance of security and enterprise needs.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, with a focus on Azure platforms

  • Experience with implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates

  • Experience with FedRAMP Moderate or High implementations and audits

  • Knowledge of Azure-native services, cloud security controls, security monitoring, incident response, and forensic tooling in Azure environments

  • Knowledge of identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption, and secure application development practices

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting U.S. government customers, particularly in regulated environments

  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments, on-premises integration, and cloud-native modernization strategies

  • Knowledge of other compliance frameworks, such as CMMC and ISO 27001

  • Bachelor's degree

  • CISSP, CCSP, or relevant cybersecurity certifications

  • Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert SC-100 or equivalent

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
