Profile Description:

We are seeking a Principal Engineer to join our Cyber Security group under CDRR. Cyber Security is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the Cyber Security Product Portfolio. We partner with the Heads of Cloud Product, Enterprise Security, Application Security and Platform Engineering on the execution of the portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment to a strategic product and service offering that creates customer value while advancing agile culture in the organization. Our primary goal is driving early and continuous delivery of value to our customers.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and AI/ML teams to understand their deployment pipelines and security requirements for the specified AI Services.
  • Drive engineering best practices within the Cloud, Platform Security & Developer Enablement department.
  • Building high quality technology solutions for cybersecurity.  
  • Re-architect core components with modern architecture focusing on high availability, resiliency, and scalability.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, global team members and foster an inclusive and positive working environment in the team.
  • The candidate will possess good analytical skills, strong software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, at times liaising with demanding stakeholders, to understand complex requirements, and be able to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate will be a problem solver who will bring positivity and enthusiasm when communicating potential solutions for architectural considerations with a can-do attitude.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 10+ years' relevant experience is required for this role.
  • Proven technical leadership in driving architecture and engineering best practices across a high performing engineering department.
  • Proven ability to influence best practices and architectural decisions beyond your immediate department.
  • Excellent Java or Python skills with technologies development experience.
  • Strong application design and Object-oriented skills.
  • Strong fundamentals of domain/event/message driven architecture and, REST services
  • Hands on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. Apache Kafka).
  • 3+ years of hands on experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills with strong knowledge of Data Structures/Algorithms
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and experience with RDBMS providers like POSTGRES, MSSQL, etc.
  • Proficiency in writing complex NOSQL queries and experience with MongoDB providers.
  • Agile development principle, methodologies, and DevOps adoption of CI/CD/CM/SDLC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills (Optional):

  • Experience with Cloud AI services including Azure AI, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Safety Content, AWS Bedrock, Anthropic on AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI.
  • Experience with implementing security controls and governance standards in the context of Cloud AI Service usages.
  • Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) 3rd Party tools such as Wiz, Prisma, Check Point CloudGuard, etc
  • Proficiency with cloud-native security & governance tooling (e.g., Azure Policy, AWS SCP & RCP , GCP Constrains, etc)
  • Experience with scripting (Bash/PowerShell) and the Linux/Windows platform.
  • Experience with Web technologies (Angular/React) or equivalent.
