IT Security Expert

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Operations professional to lead our Cyber Security Operations team. This role combines strategic oversight with deep technical involvement and requires a hands-on leader who can operate at both strategic and technical levels — setting the direction for our security operations while staying actively involved in threat detection, incident response, and security architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the bank’s SOC teams MSSP ensuring effective 24/7 monitoring, detection, response, and escalation
• Develop and execute the cybersecurity operations strategy aligned with business and risk objectives
• Oversee the development and maintenance of reference architectures and threat models
• Actively engage in high-severity incidents and technical escalations, supporting containment and remediation efforts
• Drive a risk-based vulnerability management program aligned with CVSS, exploitability, and asset criticality
• Translate findings into strategic mitigation plans and systemic control improvements
• Collaborate with IT teams (developers and platform engineers) to foster a security-as-code culture
• Act as the primary interface between the technical security teams and executive/C-level stakeholders
• Define and enforce secure-by-design principles for infrastructure, cloud, applications, and data
• Govern architectural security reviews for projects, third-party integrations, and major change programs
• Report to the Group CISO on operational posture, investment needs, and regulatory alignment
• Collaborate with MSSPs, CERTs, law enforcement, and information sharing bodies (e.g., FS-ISAC, ENISA)
• Support external and internal audits, and ensure compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, DORA, etc.

Requirements

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role in the Financial Services industry or a Consulting firm
• Proven experience managing cyber incidents
• Deep understanding of EDR/XDR, WAF, NDR, CASB, IAM, Zero Trust, and cloud security tooling
• Strong knowledge of market dynamics, emerging trends, and operational best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
