Here at NICE Public Safety, we develop state of the art solutions for the Public Safety market, bringing together voice, video and screen recording, playback, and analysis for Security customers worldwide.

We are seeking a seasoned Security Architect to lead the development and enhancement of our security posture across a hybrid environment, combining on-premises infrastructure with cloud-native platforms. This role is both strategic and hands-on—driving threat modeling, leading proof-of-concepts (POCs), and embedding defense-in-depth strategies throughout our systems and applications.

You will collaborate closely with Security Architects, engineering, and operations teams to ensure security is integrated from the ground up. Your expertise will be critical in building resilient, secure, and compliant environments aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.

How will you make an impact? 

• Design and implement robust security architectures for on-premises and cloud-native applications.
• Lead threat modeling sessions, architecture reviews, and security design workshops.
• Champion secure-by-design principles and foster a security-first culture across teams.
• Mentor security champions and developers to elevate security expertise organization wide.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern security tools and POCs.
• Analyze penetration test results and provide actionable remediation guidance.
• Lead SIEM implementation, tuning, and incident detection/response strategies.
• Apply OWASP best practices to strengthen application security throughout the SDLC.
• Design secure APIs and develop comprehensive encryption strategies.
• Enhance advanced threat detection and establish rapid response capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for network security assessments and incident response planning.
• Guide teams in executing security testing across applications and infrastructure.
• Architect security controls to protect sensitive data in AI systems, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring.
• Leverage security frameworks to standardize and improve overall security posture.
• Collaborate with PMs to translate regulatory requirements into security solutions.

Have you got what it takes?

• 8-12 years of experience as a Software Architect, with at least 3 years in a dedicated Security Architect role.
• Deep understanding of hybrid security challenges across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) alongside on-prem infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, IAM, and data protection strategies.
• Expertise in OWASP principles, secure coding practices, and application-layer defenses.
• Solid technical background in Windows, Linux, and network security fundamentals.
• Experience with SIEM solutions, vulnerability management, and incident response frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyze penetration test results, perform root cause analysis, and lead remediation efforts.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to drive security initiatives across teams.

You will have an advantage if you also have:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP, or equivalent.
• Cloud security certifications (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cybersecurity Architect Expert).
• Experience with container and microservices security (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Exposure to AI Systems, with experience on implementing Data Security, Monitoring, Auditing, and its Infrastructure Security.
