Job Description

Your Career

At Palo Alto Networks, we are shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) security. We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Industry Architect - AI Security to spearhead our strategic engagements with key JAPAC customers and influence the industry's approach to securing Generative AI. This is a senior technical leadership role where you will act as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives (CTOs, CIOs, CISOs) at our largest customers, guiding them through the complex design considerations of securing their most ambitious Generative AI initiatives. You will be pivotal in defining and evangelizing secure AI adoption patterns, not just through our products, but by architecting novel use cases, impactful demonstrations, and tangible security outcomes tailored to specific industry needs.

Your Impact

As a Senior Industry Architect - AI Security, you will be instrumental in establishing Palo Alto Networks as the leading strategic partner for securing enterprise-scale Generative AI. Your contributions will extend beyond individual customer engagements to shape industry best practices and regulatory understanding.

  • Strategic C-Suite Advisory: Serve as the lead technical advisor to customer CTOs, CIOs, and CISOs, providing expert guidance on strategic design principles, risk mitigation, and governance frameworks for securing complex Generative AI deployments.

  • Innovation in AI Security Use Cases & Demonstrations: Conceptualize, design, and build compelling, unique use cases and demonstrations that showcase advanced AI security outcomes and address emerging threats in Generative AI. This includes going beyond standard product features to illustrate holistic security solutions.

  • Development of Industry-Specific Reference Architectures: Lead the creation and curation of a comprehensive library of industry-specific AI security reference architectures. These will serve as blueprints for customers in sectors such as finance, healthcare, public sector, and manufacturing, detailing best practices for securing their unique GenAI applications and data.

  • Thought Leadership and Policy Engagement: Act as an authoritative voice for Palo Alto Networks on Generative AI security. Engage with regulators, industry consortiums, and policymakers to provide expert insights, contribute to the development of security standards, and advocate for responsible AI security practices.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy and Enablement: Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, engineering, and threat research teams to inform Palo Alto Networks' AI security strategy, identify new market opportunities, and develop differentiated solutions based on industry needs and future threat landscapes.

  • Evangelism and Ecosystem Development: Present at top-tier industry conferences, executive briefings, and publish thought leadership content to elevate Palo Alto Networks' standing in AI security and foster an ecosystem of secure AI adoption.

  • Mentorship and Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other architects and technical professionals within the organization, fostering a culture of excellence in AI security.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 12+ years of distinguished experience in technical leadership roles within cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, or technology strategy, with a significant focus (5+ years) on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and specifically Generative AI.

  • Proven experience advising C-suite executives (CTO, CIO, CISO) at large enterprises on complex technology strategy, architecture, and risk management, particularly related to emerging technologies like Generative AI.

  • Demonstrable track record of conceptualizing, designing, and delivering innovative technical solutions, unique use cases, or impactful demonstrations that solve complex business problems, preferably in the AI/ML security space.

  • Experience in developing and evangelizing industry-specific reference architectures, security frameworks, or best practice guidelines.

  • Deep understanding of the Generative AI lifecycle, including data pipelines, foundation models, fine-tuning, RAG models, prompt engineering, vector databases, and their associated security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

  • Authoritative knowledge of the current AI security threat landscape, relevant regulatory environments (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF), and data privacy considerations across key industries, preferably with experience in JAPAC or other major economic regions.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to both highly technical audiences and senior executives, as well as policymakers.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services and security implications.

  • Experience engaging with or contributing to industry standards bodies, regulatory discussions, or public policy forums related to technology or cybersecurity is highly desirable.

  • A proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, anticipate future trends, and drive impactful outcomes in a dynamic and rapidly evolving field.
