Job Description SummaryThe Global Threat Operations Leader provides cybersecurity leadership for threat detection, response, and resilience operations across GE Aerospace. This role leads the strategy and execution of advanced threat intelligence, security monitoring, incident response, insider threat and cyber hunt capabilities to safeguard business operations globally. The leader serves as a key partner to digital technology, engineering, and risk stakeholders to rapidly detect and mitigate cyber threats. This role interprets internal and external threat landscapes to inform proactive defense strategies, ensuring threat operations are aligned with industry trends, business risk, and regulatory expectations. As a people leader, this position is responsible for managing and developing a high-performing global team of security analysts, engineers, and incident responders.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Lead GE Aerospace’s global cyber threat operations strategy, including SOC performance, threat detection, insider threat, response coordination, and continuous monitoring.
  • Lead Insider Threat strategy for the enterprise
  • Oversee 24x7 security operations capabilities, ensuring rapid detection, triage, investigation, and response to cyber incidents.
  • Direct threat intelligence integration into detection engineering, response playbooks, and risk posture assessments.
  • Champion proactive threat hunting and adversary emulation activities to identify hidden threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with risk, legal, engineering, and infrastructure teams on cross-functional incident response and crisis management.
  • Drive automation and advanced analytics to improve threat detection fidelity, speed, and scalability.
  • Monitor the cyber threat landscape, geopolitical risks, and sector-specific intelligence to shape defense strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance cyber incident response plans, tabletop exercises, and executive reporting frameworks.
  • Partner with government, industry, and commercial threat intelligence sources to stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of cyber defense professionals, fostering continuous learning, technical depth, and operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 12 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 15 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 17 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in security operations, threat intelligence, or incident response, including experience managing global teams
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a People Leader
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Expertise in threat detection, SOC operations, incident response frameworks, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with threat hunting methodologies and adversary simulation tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership in high-pressure incident response scenarios and enterprise cyber crisis management.
  • Proven ability to translate technical risk into business impact and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience integrating threat intelligence with detection and response workflows.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate evolving threats and adapt operations accordingly.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience operating in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Passion for cybersecurity, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
