About the role:Ā 

InĀ this unique role you will partner with stakeholders across our technology projects during a significant period of change and growth.

We currently have a unique opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager, Technology & Projects to join the Internal Audit team in this full time and permanent position.Ā 

You will be responsible for leading internal audit engagements over technology and data, information security (cyber), portfolio (programs and projects) controls across People First Bank. With a collaborative approach to your work, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective delivery of the Internal Audit Plan and drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance processes across the organisation.Ā 

Your responsibilities will include:Ā 

  • Managing and leading the execution of technology, information security, cyber and project internal audit engagementsĀ 
  • Supporting the preparation of reports to the Board Audit Committee, EXCO and relevant management committees
  • Planning and conducting end-to-end audits independently within prescribed time and budget.Ā 
  • Performing data analytics as part of internal audit and continuous controls auditing engagements
  • Performing root cause analyses for each audit engagement
  • Providing value-adding and achievable recommendations for each audit engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Internal Audit team including external co-source partners/resourcesĀ 
  • Preparing and discussing formal audit reports with Senior ManagementĀ 
  • Representing Internal Audit in various committeesĀ 
  • Assisting in developing the annual Internal Audit Plan and delivering internal audit strategic initiatives

About youĀ 

You are a team player with a work history that demonstrates an ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with key stakeholders.Ā 

Additionally, we seek:

  • Tertiary qualified in Computing, Commerce, Accounting or other relevant degree
  • Relevant professional certifications on technology and project auditing/risks such as CISA, CRISC and CISSP (other qualifications such as CIA, CA, CPA will also be considered)
  • Expertise in technology and project risks / auditing including knowledge of relevant frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST
  • Proven ability to independently lead an internal audit including planning, fieldwork, and reporting outcomes
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including proven experience to impact and influence at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to drive engagement and motivate other team members when leading an internal audit
  • Ability to maintain focus on risks (ā€˜risk-based mindset’) with high level of attention to detail whilst meeting tight deadlinesĀ 
  • Creativity and keen interest to continuously improve the internal audit processes using technology and data (data visualisation, analysis)
