Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Architect to join our team. In this standalone role, you will be instrumental in executing our business strategy with a strong focus on security, routing, and networking technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, testing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising our network infrastructure and operations in compliance with security policies and guidelines. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to tackle complex systems and engage hands-on when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT groups to participate in short- and long-term planning for our network infrastructure.

  • Identify and communicate how IT infrastructure solutions can align with business goals.

  • Support the prioritisation of requirements and resource allocation.

  • Work with analysts and stakeholders to understand business needs.

  • Evaluate technical requirements for projects, assessing infrastructure impacts, including equipment redundancy and capacity needs.

  • Ensure completeness of technical requirements and functional architecture analysis for system solutions.

  • Identify gaps in requirements and determine system specifications for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Communicate effectively with non-IT personnel to explain how proposed solutions meet their needs.

  • Lead architecture, design, development, and testing of technical solutions to meet business requirements.

  • Maintain existing capabilities and recommend updates to security technologies.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulations.

  • Coordinate the build, deployment, and review of new or enhanced infrastructure components or services.

  • Conduct periodic reviews with users and vendors to evaluate performance and identify improvements.

Key Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in networking or relevant IT roles.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • CCIE Certification required; additional certifications (PCNSE, CCNP Security, CISSP) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, VPN) and security standards (NIST, ISO 27001).

  • Advanced firewall experience (Palo Alto preferred) and multi-vendor routing and switching experience (Aruba AirOS, Air-CX, Cisco).

  • Experience with centralised management of network infrastructure using Aruba Central.

  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting is a plus.

  • Proven multi-stakeholder management experience and technical leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional presentation abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
