Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, implementing secure architectures, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive cyber resilience.

This hands-on role combines engineering, operations, and collaboration. You’ll work side-by-side with our Security Team, our managed SOC partner, Security Vendors and Internal departments across the organization to strengthen our security posture and enable the business to move safely at speed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across hybrid environments: M365, AWS, Oracle Cloud, Azure and on-prem infrastructure.
• Lead and support vulnerability management, threat detection, and configuration hardening activities across all platforms.
• Work with our in-house Security Analyst, complementing each other across engineering, operations, and incident response.
• Configure and optimize tools including:
  • Microsoft Security stack: Defender XDR, Purview, Entra ID, Intune and Sentinel.
  • AWS native security: Guard Duty, Inspector, CloudTrail, IAM
  • Palo Alto Firewalls, Prisma and Global Protect etc.
  • Third-party tools:  Wiz, Dynatrace, Armis, LMNtrix and many more
• Collaborate with the managed SOC provider to improve detection use cases, triage workflows, and response playbooks.
• Conduct security assessments on new technologies, vendors, and business projects.
• Drive compliance with Essential Eight, ISO27001, SOCI, and other relevant standards.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, standards, and playbooks.
• Engage proactively with the internal security team, IT, application teams, and business units to embed security across the organization.
• Work with external business partners, vendors, and auditors on security-related matters and integration.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in cyber security, network/cloud/system engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Practical hands-on experience with multi-cloud security (M365, Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security products, including firewalls, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, identity platforms, and DLP tools.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Essential Eight, ISO27001, SOCI, NIST CSF, and privacy legislation.
• Ability to script or automate tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Python, KQL) is a strong advantage.
• Certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, AWS Security Specialty, Oracle Cloud Security, CISSP, or OSCP are highly desirable.
• Strong communicator who can build relationships with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative—comfortable working independently or in cross-functional settings.
