We are seeking a talented Technical Manager with vast experience in Defense domain and relevant frameworks and standards (NAF, STANAGs)to lead system architecture and integration efforts across multi-disciplinary R&D and commercial projects.
Responsible for end-to-end system design, compliance with defense standards, and coordination of engineering teams. The role combines strategic technical oversight with operational implementation.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical architecture across systems, subsystems, and platforms
- Define system-of-systems architectures in alignment with military and NATO standards (e.g., NAF, STANAGs, DoDAF)
- Translate operational requirements into modular, scalable, and interoperable designs
- Lead the application of MBSE methodologies using SysML and support model traceability
- Coordinate architectural decisions across AI, blockchain, embedded, and UI/UX professionals
- Drive system validation, interface control, and TRL assessment plans
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define KPIs and technical success metrics
- Support proposal development and represent the technical vision in consortia and technical reviews
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and certification guidelines across system components
Requirements
- Master’s/PhD Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering
- 8+ years in systems architecture and technical leadership in defense or security sectors
- MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Capella), SysML/UML, architecture frameworks (NAF, DoDAF)
- Proven experience leading complex system integration projects involving cross-disciplinary teams
- Integration of software, embedded hardware, and AI/ML pipelines
- Git, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD orchestration
- Stakeholder communication, technical reporting, KPI tracking
- Fluency in English is required
Nice to have
- NATO project experience or knowledge of EDF, EDIDP, or H2020 defense initiatives
- Familiarity with digital twins, secure middleware, or tactical networking
- Experience with container orchestration (K8s), and secure multi-cloud architecture
- PMP or INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification
