POSITION SUMMARY:
The Network & Systems Director is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing management of North Country Healthcare’s IT infrastructure, including networks, security protocols, and backend systems. This role ensures high availability, performance, and compliance of all IT systems while proactively mitigating security risks. The Director will oversee network operations, data center management, cloud infrastructure, and IT security frameworks, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal system reliability.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
Certification:
- CCNP, CISSP, CISM are preferred.
Licensure:
- Association* accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
Skills:
- Network Administration & Optimization – Expertise in managing enterprise networks, including WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance – Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, NIST, etc.).
- Infrastructure Management – Experience with on-premises and cloud-based systems, including virtualization, data centers, and storage solutions.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) – Knowledge of authentication protocols (MFA, SSO, Active Directory, Role-Based Access Control).
- Incident Response & Disaster Recovery – Expertise in business continuity planning, backup strategies, and disaster recovery execution.
- Firewall & Endpoint Security – Proficiency in managing firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and endpoint protection platforms.
- Automation & Performance Monitoring – Experience with automation tools and network/system performance monitoring solutions.
- Vendor & Contract Management – Ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and IT security services.
- Collaboration & Leadership – Effective communication skills to work cross-functionally and lead IT teams in a healthcare environment.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years in IT support, service management, or related roles with leadership experience.
