Join a mission-driven Red Team at the forefront of cybersecurity. As an entry-level Red Team Operator, you’ll contribute to simulated adversary operations that help identify vulnerabilities across MUFG’s global infrastructure. This role is designed for early-career professionals eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact on the security posture of a global financial institution. You’ll work alongside experienced operators, gain exposure to real-world threat scenarios, and develop hands-on skills in offensive security.

Major Responsibilities
- Support Red Team exercises by simulating adversary behaviors under the guidance of senior operators
- Assist in identifying, mapping, and planning adversary attack paths across enterprise environments
- Participate in tactical assessments involving social engineering, application security, and lateral movement
- Document Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used during assessments
- Conduct research into real-world threat actor behaviors and reverse engineer proof-of-concept (PoC) exploits
- Collaborate with security operations to correlate findings and support incident response
- Contribute to the development of internal tools, scripts, and methodologies to enhance Red Team capabilities
- Engage in tabletop exercises and knowledge-sharing sessions with internal teams and vendors
- Continuously learn and apply new offensive security techniques and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK)
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, eJPT, PNPT, or OSCP-in-progress) are a plus
Technical Skills
- Foundational understanding of networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security concepts
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Kali Linux, or Cobalt Strike is desirable
- Awareness of frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and OWASP Top 10

- Analytical thinker with a curiosity for how systems can be exploited and defended
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from others and share knowledge
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to evolving priorities
The typical base pay range for this role is between $83K - $109K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
