Security Engineer

The Security Engineer will do and guide the development of the product security related tasks for the Barco Clickshare product and will serve as a point of contact for application teams for all matters related to product security implementation.
Barco is looking for a candidate who possesses excellent technical knowledge to implement security improvements and communication skills required to bring the security mindset to the software developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the product software according to the overall product security strategy.
• Propose improvements in software development and testing related to product security.
• Challenge R&D teams and system architects about the why and how technical security controls should be integrated and how these can be automated in the deployment pipeline.
• Execute and guide threat modeling exercises and security risk analyses during design/development phases
• Support in ISO 27001 ISMS/audits for all development and deployment related subjects
• Foster and grow the overall security domain knowledge in the global R&D team through the security guild.
• Stay up to date with latest security technologies.

Qualification

• Master's degree in IT or information security, or equivalent by experience
• At least 3 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Experience in implementation of security technologies.
• Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications.
• Experience with agile development process across international teams.
• Well respected and influential, able to emphasize methodology, modeling, and governance, technologically neutral, persuasive, and enthusiastic.
• Good verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
