Your contribution!

Reporting to the Director – Compliance and reliability, you will be responsible to coordinate NERC compliance projects, support the deployment of compliance tools, and oversee third-party contracts. You will manage documentation, lead audits, monitor standards, and act as the primary compliance contact for NERC-registered sites. You will also support risk management, training, and cybersecurity response activities.

Your day-to-day!

  • Act as a Project Coordinator for different compliance related NERC Projects or initiatives by managing scope, budget, schedule.
  • Support deployment of new compliance tools to support evidence collection, scheduling compliance related tasks and monitoring activities.
  • Support contract preparation with third parties (e.g. Control centers, O&M) and perform monitoring activities to ensure compliance with NERC requirements when some GOP responsibilities are contractually delegated. 
  • Coordinate with third-party compliance contacts for compliance with NERC requirements, self-certifications, and audits.
  • Participate in periodic risk management exercise to identify and mitigate NERC compliance related risks.
  • Assist the Director - Compliance and reliability with preparation for self-certification and audits.
  • Maintain, save, file and archive regulatory, technical or administrative documents ensuring that the retention of documents and evidence meets all regulatory requirements;
  • Monitor applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation standards, both effective and under development;
  • Monitor and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation standards;
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures through spot-checks, training;
  • Coordinate and manage submission for Requests for Information (RFIs), self-certifications, and audits.
  • Coordinate training for standards updates, annual requirements, and during monthly operations and compliance meetings with the third-party compliance contacts.
  • Answer and coordinate action for any NERC Alerts.
  • Coordinate the cybersecurity response plan tests for each site or region. 
  • Coordinate and submit new NERC registrations.
  • Collate monthly reports content.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Your skills, our requirements!

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in this field.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under tight timeframes.
  • Good judgement and understanding of when to take on a task and when to seek direction.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.

Additional considerations!

  • The position is based at the company's head office in Longueuil, a few steps from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
  • This position is a P3 level.
