What will you do? 

A day in the life of a Business Continuity Analyst at VF looks a little like this. 

You will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, solutions, and plans to ensure the organization's resilience during disruptions. This role involves risk assessment, crisis management, and collaboration with various departments to safeguard the organization's assets and operations.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of risk management techniques and disaster recovery operations.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. 

  • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) policies, standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Perform business impact analyses and risk assessments for critical business functions.
  • Regularly review and update plans to reflect changes in business operations and emerging risks.
  • Support the development, awareness, training, and delivery with business unit teams to ensure an appropriate level of understanding of roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with different business unit leaders to ensure business continuity plans are aligned with business needs, maintained and updated, as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on the status of business continuity, data recovery, and data backup strategies with the designated administration software.
  • Support both internal and external audits of programs.
  • Develop and execute test plans and tabletop exercises for business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Support Crisis response requirements and lead projects to implement policies, procedures, and controls, as necessary.
  • Coordinate and manage responses to incidents and emergencies.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination during crises.
  • Ensure the proper management and maintenance of governance programs.

What do you need to succeed?

The foundation skills you will need in this position are: 

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience implementing business continuity programs.
  • BSc Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Certifications: CBCP, CBCI, CISSP, or similar certifications are preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, or other industry standards for business continuity.
  • Proficient in BCM software, data analysis, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Proven ability to provide direction and guidance to a variety of internal stakeholders, and external relationships regarding business continuity practices.
  • Strong understanding of risk management techniques and disaster recovery operations.
  • Ability to conduct detailed business impact analyses and risk assessments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Expertise in the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint

Hiring Range:

$77,760.00 USD - $97,200.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
