The Role and the Team
Proofpoint's Alliances and Business Development team is the "Special Forces" within our organization, built from the ground up by an industry veteran with 25 years of experience creating elite, high-performing alliance teams. Our mission is to significantly grow Proofpoint's market value by driving revenue through and with strategic partnerships. We operate with agility, seeking and seizing strategic opportunities that amplify our growth, empowering our sellers and channel partnersâour "Army, Navy, and Marines"âto dominate the cybersecurity battlefield.
As the Senior Director of Alliances, reporting directly to the Group Vice President of Alliances and Business Development, you will lead key alliances with partners in our Technology Ecosystem like CyberArk, ServiceNow, Okta, Ping Identity, Palo Alto Networks, Snowflake, NetApp, etc... Your role will be to strengthen and expand strategic relationships across these organizations' product, engineering, and field teams. Your primary mission will be deepening strategic relationships by coordinating with the product teams and developing a target list of partners to leverage. You will identify and develop joint growth opportunities, foster collaboration across internal and external teams, and deliver measurable outcomes that increase Proofpointâs market presence and revenue through strategic alignment with our most critical platform partners.
Job Requirements
Proven track record managing and growing strategic alliances with major cybersecurity technology companies including Threat Protection, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Identity Management, and Data Security, demonstrating measurable impact on revenue and market presence.
Demonstrated experience in identifying, structuring, and negotiating complex partnership agreements aligned with organizational strategy and revenue objectives.
Technical and GTM knowledge of Cybersecurity infrastructure products and how they are integrated with Proofpoint.Â
Experience working with the Proofpoint technology stack and its partner ecosystem.
Expertise in collaborating closely with enterprise sales teams, channel partners, marketing and field organizations to drive joint go-to-market execution and pipeline growth.
Ability to successfully influence and engage at executive levels within partner organizations to achieve strategic alignment and mutual success.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams both internally and externally.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, capable of motivating and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared strategic objectives.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate market opportunities, partnership value propositions, and business impacts.
Proven experience collaborating effectively with internal marketing, product management, and sales teams to generate significant business results.
Proactive and decisive decision-making abilities, leveraging strategic insights to drive impactful business outcomes.

Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity. Base Pay Range: 191,360.00 - 263,120.00 USDAll other cities and states excluding those listed above:
