We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Cyber Security Engineer to help safeguard our systems, data, and infrastructure. This role involves identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, monitoring and analyzing threats, and supporting the development and enforcement of security strategies across the organization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure systems and respond to incidents, playing a key role in promoting a strong security posture company-wide.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions and protocols to protect company assets.
  • Continuously monitor network traffic and security systems to identify potential threats and breaches.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses.
  • Build and execute test cases to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls.
  • Assist with threat mitigation, remediation, and incident response efforts.
  • Stay current on cyber security trends, threats, and technologies.
  • Communicate and promote security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure new and existing systems adhere to established information security principles.
  • Evaluate and report on the secure operation of enterprise applications and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain and upgrade security tools and systems as needed.
  • Support firewall management and configuration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.

Strong understanding of incident response procedures and threat containment.

Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST.

Experience with Microsoft Azure Stack and cloud security principles.

Proficient in SIEM tools and log analysis.

 

Abilities

Strong customer service, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.  Must be self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision effectively. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (preferred).

5+ years of relevant technical experience in an enterprise environment

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.

 

Working Environment

Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Shift is a day position, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with before or after-hour work as necessary.  Occasional travel for training or support at other locations may be required.
