We’re seeking experienced software development professionals who can bring creative ideas to rapidly solve challenging problems. The ability to be adaptable, inquisitive, collaborative, and work with a sense of urgency in a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial.
You will work as an integral part of an Agile/ DevSecOps team – a highly productive, collaborative team that thrives on supporting the customer's mission and growth objectives through innovation and AI-enabled agile software development. You will work in close collaboration with team members, customers, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions for protecting public health.
We are seeking to fill the following roles, contingent upon contract award.
Database Administrators
Minimum qualifications will vary by level.
At minimum all candidates MUST:
Be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Be local to the DC metro area for hybrid/onsite work
Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2+ years of related experience.
Total required experience will vary by level of role required
Experience with the following is required:
Database, Reporting and Analytics: Oracle, SQL Server, Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, Erwin Data Modeler, Business Objects, Oracle Reports, Tableau, Informatica, Oracle Forms and Reports, Databricks
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Modeling and Implementation: Design, develop, implement and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models, schemas, data dictionaries, Datalake architecture for operational and reporting data. Define and maintain data standards and compliance.
- Database Administration & Maintenance: Provide technical support for databases, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement regular database backups to allow for efficient data recovery in the event of system failures.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Track system performance and identify bottlenecks affecting database efficiency and data integrity.
- Incident & Problem Management: Troubleshoot database-related incidents and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor and forecast database storage and performance needs, ensuring scalability.
- Upgrades & Patch Management: Plan and execute major database upgrades and periodic patching to maintain system stability.
- Database Logging & Monitoring: Configure and manage database logs for integration into a SIEM (Security information and event management) solution for monitoring and security compliance.
- High Availability & Failover Management: Monitor, maintain and orchestrate manual failover and failback procedures to maintain uptime.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts to automate ETL, and database maintenance and monitoring tasks.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain database build and upgrade documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
- Testing & Validation Support: Assist testing teams with execution of test scripts for database validation and performance assessment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
