Corelight Engineer

Key Role: 

Serve as a key member in the client’s cybersecurity program. Lead the selection, design, and implementation of network security tools and capabilities. Develop new detection capabilities and analyze attacks. Support critical business initiatives that contribute to enhancing the cybersecurity posture of U.S. civilian agencies. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.    

Basic Qualifications: 

• 10+ years of experience leading the selection, design, and implementation of network security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations 

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity 

• 3+ years of experience with architecting, deploying, and configuration of Network Detection and Response solutions, including Vectra AI, Corelight, and Netscout 

• Experience with various network architectures, including support for TIC 3.0 and SASE 

• Experience leading product selection initiatives, including automation and orchestration, visibility and analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, conditional-based access, attribute-based access control, or micro-segmentation 

• Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams to incorporate cybersecurity solutions and develop high-quality implementation plans and roadmaps 

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements  

• Bachelor's degree

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification 

Additional Qualifications: 

• Experience with identity and access management solutions, endpoint protection, analytics, or AI and ML 

• Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO and executives, to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation 

• Ability to author technical documentation, white papers, and blogs on leading cybersecurity topics and concepts 

• Possession of excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 

• Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Zero Trust Architect (ZTA) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
