Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

We're looking for a Senior IAM Engineer to lead the operational and strategic execution of identity and access management across a complex global enterprise. What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage integrations for IAM solutions using Java and REST APIs
• Lead application onboarding for both enterprise and custom-built systems
• Drive IAM lifecycle processes: Joiner/Mover/Leaver, access certifications, and role engineering
• Serve as a technical lead, mentoring junior engineers and guiding cross-functional teams
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, scalable IAM solutions
• Maintain documentation using tools like Confluence, and contribute to IAM best practices and architecture

Requirements

What You Bring

• 10+ years of relevant experience in IAM and security architecture
• Expert-level skills in Java development and REST-based integrations
• Experience with cloud IAM in AWS, Azure, or equivalent platforms
• Background in global IAM infrastructure, with a proactive approach to cybersecurity
• Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ (strong plus) and SailPoint certifications (preferred)
• Prior experience in a lead/mentoring capacity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact across all levels of the organization
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent work experience
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CIAM, IAM vendor-specific) are a plus

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
• May consider H-1B holders with approved I-140
• Must be able to relocate to the Reston, VA area before starting (relocation assistance available)
• Remote work or delayed relocation is not available for this role
