As an Enterprise Cybersecurity Exercise Designer, you will work with the Cyber Resiliency Program Lead within the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO). You will have previous experience with enterprise exercise planning to support the design and execution of custom, realistic, and scenario-based exercises to test the effectiveness of our current security processes across a wide range of enterprise functions, playing a key role in bolstering the security posture of the company and increasing resilience. Because of this, you will effectively work and communicate with varying levels of stakeholders to include team leadership, senior executives, as well as technical and non-technical customers. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
What You'll Work On:Ā Ā
Support the coordination and facilitation of requirement gathering sessions, working with subject matter experts, process owners, and stakeholders.Ā Ā
Track cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, tactics, and techniques and procedures used by cyber actors.Ā Ā
Assist in the drafting of exercise scenarios ranging from tabletop exercises to functional exercises with active scenarios developed to test cyber incident response plans, command and control procedures, and cross-functional coordination.Ā Ā
Arrange exercise logistics and maintain program documentation, to include exercise lifecycle documents from early concept and development planning meetings through execution, to after-action reporting and lessons learned briefing.Ā Ā
Support exercise facilitation, including making real-time adjustments and collecting data for after-action analysis.Ā Ā
Support in the analysis of exercise recordings and data to draft after-action reports, lessons learned, and process improvement plans, incorporating recommendations and modifications to cybersecurity plans, processes, and protocols.Ā Ā

You Have:Ā Ā
2+ years of experience working in cybersecurity and IT, including exercise design and with incident response proceduresĀ Ā
Experience with cybersecurity compliance policy, programs, processes, and metricsĀ Ā
Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity systems and technologies, including the risks and opportunities created by AI useĀ Ā
Knowledge of scenario planning and exercise logistics coordination, with a focus on developing realistic, complex, and engaging scenariosĀ Ā Ā
Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

4+ years of experience working in cybersecurity and IT
1+ years of experience in cybersecurity exercise planningĀ Ā Ā
Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively and effectively with a teamĀ Ā
Ability to adapt and flex in response to fast-moving developmentsĀ Ā
Possession of excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skillsĀ Ā
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating technological concepts to non-technical audiencesĀ

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individualās particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allenās total compensation package for employees.
