This role is hybrid in the Czech Republic. We are only able to accept applications for those based in the Czech Republic and have sponsorship to live and work in the Czech Republic.  

  

What you'll do at Jamf: 

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work. The Security Analyst focuses on finding new ways to protect customers from malicious activity. They will keep up with known malicious threats and innovate new ways to catch new, previously unknown malicious actors. Security Analyst II has a vital role in incident handling.

 

What you can expect to do in this role: 

  • Research new ways to detect malicious activity on using a wide variety of custom - built tooling and open source solution.
  • Independently conduct research on methods to protect users from emerging and previously unknown threats.
  • Perform incident analysis to determine accuracy and precision. Tune detection rules accordingly based on results.
  • Stay up to date on the latest malware trends and design detections accordingly.
  • Support sales and marketing by timely information about emerging threats and trends.
  • Independently analyze network threats and search for malicious sites.
  • Write and manage detection patterns and algorithms to detect malicious network threats.
  • Participate in the design of new tools and systems used for threat research.
  • Participate on training of junior team members.
  • Document, report, and present research findings to management and clients.

What we are looking for: 

  • Minimum 2 years experience on field (Required).
  • An understanding of cyber security and intrusion detection (Required).
  • An overall comprehensive understanding of incident response (Required).
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP, HTTP/S etc) (Required).
  • Strong interest in mobile security (Required).
  • Experience with detecting malware using Yara rules (Preferred).
  • Experience with GitHub and Git (Preferred).
  • Experience querying relational databases to support threat research.
  • Proven Analytical Skills.
  • Customer value focus with the ability to quickly iterate based on emerging threats and customer feedback.
  • Solution focused ability working collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages, preferably Bash and Python.
  • Communications and presentation skills.
