Description

Title: Information Systems Security Officer

Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid)


Job Summary:

The Information Systems Security Officer will be responsible for developing, executing, and tracking the performance of security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, and includes network infrastructure and computer systems in the defined control environment(s). The successful candidate will have hands-on experience working within the parameters of a formal security framework.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with users to discuss computer data access needs, identify security threats and violations and identify and recommend needed programming or process changes. 
  • Utilize data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to conceal and protect transfers of confidential digital information. 
  • Develop and implement plans to safeguard digital data from accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and adheres to emergency data processing protocols. 
  • Review security procedure violations and provide training to ensure breaches do not recur.
  • Monitor and restrict access to sensitive, confidential, or high-security data. 
  • Modify security files and applications as permitted and necessary to provide specialized access to allow new software to be installed or integrated or to correct errors. Performs risk assessments, audits, and tests to ensure the proper functioning of data processing activities and security measures. 
  • Safeguard system security and improves overall server and network efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness. 
  • Determine when to update virus protection systems by monitoring current reports of computer viruses and facilitating or performing needed updates.
  • Highly comfortable with customer service. Has put tailored systems in place to ensure continued and progressing relationships. For our Company, this would be with each of our contract "owners" (CEOs of hospitals, Regions, etc.)
  • Servant leadership with employees.
  • Behavioral health experience or knowledge is required. 
  • Commercial insurance knowledge to aid in negotiating new contracts or terms and a good understanding of commercial insurance measurement tools.  
  • Willing to travel to have relationship connectivity in key locations.
  • General knowledge of IT software/EMR systems.
  • Excellent relationship/management capability with Providers/MDs/NPs.


Working Conditions:

  •  This job works primarily remotely from a personal home office and will require some travel to corporate/clinical locations.



Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity - preferred
  • Security+ - required 
  • CISSP or CISM - preferred 

Experience:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Proficient, or able to gain proficiency with, a broad array of security software applications and tools. Thorough understanding of computer-related security systems, including firewalls, encryption, and password protection and authentication. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organized with attention to detail.
